On the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the funding of NCGIA

December 1, 2008 marks the twentieth anniversary of the start of National Science Foundation funding for the National Center for Geographic Information and Analysis (NCGIA) at its three sites, UC Santa Barbara, the University at Buffalo, and the University of Maine. In honor of this occasion, a symposium will be held at which retrospective and prospective analyses of the work of NCGIA, will be reviewed.
This event will be held at the Upham Hotel in Santa Barbara.
